Immunizations and Your Littles

In today's news you can't look left or right without seeing the word "vaccinations". Vaccines and Immunizations have a long history worldwide. Did you know the first vaccination was the smallpox vaccine? The small pox vaccine was introduced by Edward Jenner in 1796, and was the first successful vaccine to be developed.

Vaccinations and Immunizations were developed to help prevent and cure communicable diseases. During the 20th century, over thirty different vaccines and immunizations were created by scientist in laboratory trials. Even now, in 2021 scientist continue to develop and create new vaccinations like the Moderna and the Pfizer vaccine to help the fight against COVID-19 worldwide.

Vaccines are essential for protecting babies and adolescents against infectious diseases such as measles, mumps, rubella and whooping cough. Many of these diseases are largely forgotten in our country due to eradication of most of these deadly diseases.

ZOe Pediatrics is dedicated to the prevention and education of immunizations and vaccinations. We continue the fight everyday against preventable disease and COVID-19.
